Cynthia is a seasoned physiotherapy professional with over two decades of experience with a special interest in neurological rehabilitation. With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Health Sciences and Kinesiology from McMaster University, Cynthia has held a variety of roles in public health care. She has been working in private practice since 2007. Notably, as co-founder of the private practice, Neuro-Ability Rehabilitation services in Vancouver, Cynthia demonstrated exceptional leadership by managing a team of physiotherapists and overseeing clinic operations, earning recognition for their commitment to excellence in patient care.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Cynthia has pursued advanced certifications in the Bobath Concept, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation, and advanced gait and balance analysis. Currently serving as a Physiotherapist at the private clinic Surge-Neuro Physiotherapy, Cynthia leads educational sessions, spearheads organizational initiatives, and provides expert care to patients, showcasing a blend of clinical expertise and leadership prowess, allowing the clinicians at Surge-Neuro to lead in their field.
Throughout her career, Cynthia has gained experience in all stages of care, including the emergency department; acute care wards; rehabilitation departments; long-term care centers and private practice. She is well-versed in the public and private medical system.
