With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Health Sciences and Kinesiology from McMaster University, Cynthia has held pivotal roles at esteemed institutions like Vancouver General Hospital and the George Pearson Center. Notably, as co-founder of Neuro-Ability, Cynthia demonstrated exceptional leadership by managing a team of physiotherapists and overseeing clinic operations, earning recognition for their commitment to excellence in patient care.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Cynthia has pursued advanced certifications in vestibular rehabilitation, the Bobath Concept, and advanced gait analysis. Currently serving as a Physiotherapist in Neurology at LGH in North Vancouver, Cynthia leads educational sessions, spearheads organizational initiatives, and provides expert care to patients, showcasing a blend of clinical expertise and leadership prowess that makes them an invaluable asset to any healthcare team.
Cynthia currently holds a position as a physiotherapist in the neuro outpatient department at Lion’s Gate Hospital and has worked for Vancouver Coastal Health for over 20 years. Throughout her career, Cynthia has gained experience in all stages of care, including the emergency department, acute care wards, rehabilitation, and long-term care. She is well-versed in the public medical system and understands how to navigate its many challenges and resources.
